Dear Supporter,
The Remembrance Tree of Light 2010
The Rotary Club of Newtown invites you to remember a departed Loved One at this very special time of the year, with a sponsored light on our “Remembrance Tree of Light”. Their name will be displayed on the accompanying “Roll of Remembrance”. The proceeds raised from this venture will be donated to:
The Salvation Army (Newtown Branch)
Rotary Club of Newtown Local Charities.
This project would not be possible without the support of Bear Lanes Shopping Centre, for allowing us to site the illuminated “Remembrance Tree of Light” and displaying the Roll of Remembrance in the shopping centre. Also, the generosity of people like yourselves who remember their departed relatives and friends at this magical time of year.
This is the third year in which the Rotary Club of Newtown have been involved in “The Tree of Light” project, and we invite you to participate by sponsoring one or more “lights” in memory of someone dear to you. We ask for a minimum of £5 per name.
We have included a Gift Aid Section on the application form, which we hope you will sign if you are a taxpayer. This will enable us to reclaim the tax from H. M. Revenue and Customs. Please complete this and return to us at Morris Marshal & Poole in Broad Street, Newtown, with a cheque for your donation. To access an application form click the attachment that is attached to this story.
A Big Thank you to EOM ( Electrical Contractors ) Ltd for their help in connecting the lights for the Tree of Light and Christmas Tree on Broad Street.
May I take this opportunity on behalf of the Rotary Club of Newtown to wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
